Kimmy Alexander began dancing at the age of 2 in Davidson, Michigan. When her family relocated to Huntersville, NC at the age of 5 she started dancing at Dance Techniques. Her love for dance only grew stronger as the years passed. While she enjoyed being a part of a competitive dance team it was her time assisting dance classes that she loved the most. She started to assist at the age of 14 and by the age of 16 was teaching on her own. When one of her mentors said to her "There are many dancers out there but it takes something special to be a dance teacher", she knew teaching was her passion. When Kimmy is not at the studio you can find her with her husband, Travis, and 2 children, Tessa and Corbyn. They enjoy days on the lake, movie nights, and (of course) dance parties.
